Topaz
Topaz occurs in a range of colours, golden yellow & pink being the most expensive. Blue and green are also popular. Natural pink topaz is rare, it is usually heat treated yellow topaz. Blue topaz is often clear/colourless heat treated topaz. It often is found in granites and volcanic lavas. Topaz is hard but brittle, internal fractures can often be seen. It has a hardness of 8.
Topaz is the birthstone for November, it is the gift for a 4th Annversary. Topaz is used for the throat chakra.
When combined with silver, topaz is especially powerful, the metal acts as a conducter to the topaz energy. It is also alot more effective when with amethyst.

Mystic topaz is colourless topaz with a thin film/coating giving it the desired rainbow effect, and is not a naturally occurring topaz.
