Serpentine
Serpentine is easy to identify by its slippery, soapy feel. The two mail types used in jewellery are bowenite and the rarer williamsite (Bowenite is a pale variety, often called 'new jade'. In ancient times it was believed that this stone was a remedy against snake bites, this probably stemmed from the stones patterning and colouration.
It is soft, and could be scratched by other stones so should be stored carefully.
This stone can help you to feel more in control with your life, it helps correct mental and emotional imbalances.
