Sapphire is the name given to all gem quality corundum that is not
red (which is called ruby). It is best know to come in blue but also comes in clear,
pink,
green & yellow. It has a hardness of 9, after diamond it is the second hardest mineral known to man.
Sapphire is the anniversary stone for year 5 and 45.
Sapphire is known as the wisdom stone, it is said to -
