Description Teardrop & rice shaped black onyx with paua shell long nuggets, this necklace has a sterling silver clasp and measures just under 18 inches in length. The length of this necklace can be adjusted. Onyx is variety of agate, this stone is made up of layers of quartz, chalcedony and opal and forms in rock cavities.  Mostly black and white banded, Onyx is sometimes just black and is a rather somber stone. Onyx is a hard stone but can be briitle so should be stored away from other jewellery.
