Prehnite

Prehnite is named after Colonel von Prehn, who discovered it in the 18th century.  It can be found in basaltic volcanic rocks, igneous rocks and in some metamorphic rocks.  Commonly found in South Africa, it was originally thought that it was a variety of emerald or olivine and was sometimes known as 'cape emerald' and 'cape chrysolite', it can also be found in the USA, UK, Australia and France.

This is a stone that enables you to always be prepared and shows you the way forward.  Prehnite helps you to be in harmony with nature, it helps you let go of possessions you no longer need - helping those who hoard possessions.  It alleviates nightmares, phobias and deep fears.
