Mookaite Jasper
Mookaite is found exclusively in Australia, and is named after the area it is found (Mooka Creek in the Kennedy Ranges, Western Australia). This mineral varies in colour from red to brown to pink to yellow, sometimes resembling layers of sand. Mookaite is a fossiliferous sedimentary rock, which has been formed from the opaline, skeletal remains of tiny creatures, deposited in shallow areas of ancient sea beds.
Mookaite has extremely soothing qualities, always enabling smooth solutions to be found in upsetting situations. This stone helps keep ideas within the bounds of practical possibilities and helps us to achieve our goals in a practical way. Mookaite is a stone of the ''here and now''. It helps in the acceptance of change and is a very protective stone, particularly as an emotional protector. Mookaite is associated with the lower chakras.
