Kyanite
Kyanite forms in thin, blade like crystals and is found in metamorphic rock. It can be found in Austria, France, Italy and Russia but most samples come from Brazil. Its hardness depends on the direction in which a crystal is stressed. Kyanite comes in many colours from blue-white to pink, green yellow, grey and black.
Gem quality slices resemble apatite or sapphire.
Kyanite does not hold on to negativity and cuts through fears and blockages. It dispels illusion, anger, frustration and stress, and slices through confusion. Kyanite encourages self-expression and communication.
