Iolite
Iolite is a translucent, violet-blue stone. It is quite common and found in sedimentary gneisses. It is mostly sourced from Sri Lanka and Myanmar, but can also be found in the United States. It is a crystal that changes colour depending on the angle from which you view it, from blue to brownish-yellow or pale blue-grey.
