Fluorite can come in many colours such as blue, clear, green and yellow but most common is purple. It was the first mineral to show fluorescent under certain lighting and gave its name to the phenomenon. It forms in cubic crystals often coated with other minerals such as calcite, quartz or pyrite. It is sourced mainly from USA, UK, Austrailia, Germany, Norway, China, Peru, Mexico, Brazil and Italy.
