AngeliteAngelite is quite a common sedimentary mineral that forms large layers of rock. The best Angelite comes from Peru & Mexico, but can also be found in Germany, Britain, Egypt, Poland and Libya. It is sometimes thought that Angelite is named for its angelic powdery blue colour, but it is actually named after the partner of the man who discovered the stone, her name was Angela. Angelite has a hardness of 3.5.Angelite is soft and sensitive, it's surface should be treated with care to preserve the quality of the colour.
